FC7Soccer® Academy™ Training with Valley United FC7Soccer® is currently working with the North Valley Soccer Club™ Breakaway division to build our club soccer youth program. Coach Rob Kodama and Coach Afsheen Alborzian go back some 20 years or so.
We are working together every Wednesday at Mason Park in Chatsworth until the end of June and Saturdays in Santa Clarita. Several FC7Soccer® Academy™ and Club™ players have already been asked to try-out for Breakaway™ division teams and some Breakaway™ players will join the FC7Soccer® Cheetahs™ teams this fall in the CSL™ for youth club soccer in Southern California. The CSL™ leagues (CalSouth) begin in September and run into December.
It is imperative our players work on their game at home. We will keep everyone posted about teams, but the more you practice at home as well as make it to all of our practices and training this spring and summer, the more likely you will be chosen to play on one of the teams in the league. There is a large piece that will be based on our next Cleat Level™ assessment slated for May 19th and the following one on July 28th, 2018.
We are planning to enter the teams in several tournaments during June, July, and August this summer. Another resource we are using is the scrimmage boards (locally) to set up scrimmages with other area club teams during the summer months before the season begins. Our players will be plenty prepared for the 2018 season so parents, please do your part in making sure they work on their game at home.
On another note, our recreational soccer teams; FCBarcelona are performing very well in the California Sports Academy league. We are very proud of how our younger players are developing and how some of our older beginner rudiment players are doing in the league. In the past we have finished first or second in every division we coached a team. Prior to being FCBarcelona, we were the Cheetahs in the same league. Coach Charles was instrumental in helping the league go to a professional club uniforms/team-names format instead of the initial format. Coach Afsheen was instrumental in FC7Soccer® being the FCBarcelona team in the CSA league - SCV.
