January 4th, 2024: Back in June of 2023, we had our first Cal South™ Olympic Development Program™ player make the ODP™ roster. You may know her as Nicky Pickering. She made the G09 ODP™ team. ODP™ is a program that USYS™ oversees at the highest levels before US Soccer® takes over for the national teams. You must be a club player that coaches feel is at the highest levels and can adapt quickly to play with others at that same level. Think of it as an all-star team. You also must be invited to tryout. Here is a link to see the rosters and learn more about Cal South™/USYS™/US Soccer® ODP™.
The Winter Pool Cal South™ ODP™ tryouts began in mid-November through December to play in AZ against the other states in our region. We had about 10 other players (mostly boys) invited to tryout. Although 5 made it to final cuts, only 3 made it through with their respective teams. Shout out to all invited to tryout and shout out to those that made it up to final cuts. Our current 4 players who made their respective teams and are going to play in Arizona are (pictured above): Julian Alborzian-B08, Logan Cummings-B10, Nicky Pickering-G09, and Axel Soto-B10, please be sure to congratulate them when you see them at training. All 4 members also train with us at the FC7Soccer® Development Academy™ in Santa Clarita. Here at FC7Soccer® we are very proud of their accomplishment and wish them the best at the USYS™ ODP™ regional tournament. CONGRATULATIONS!

August 11th, 2023: Current FC7Soccer® DA™🧦trained players who play with Coach Afsheen will attend this years Legends Cup™ San Diego🏆to defend their title (so to speak). Last summer the Legends FC SCV B2008 team👑 went there and won it all. Now they move to the "Elite Division" playing against ECNL and ENPL teams. "It will be a true test for the boys. We expect them to play strong and resilient" Coach Afsheen stated.

Everyone at FC7Soccer® DA™ in SCV is excited for the boys. "We were all very proud of their achievement", said one parent. Another told us, "At one point it looked bleak, like they may have to go to penalty kicks when a last second GOLAZZO from outside of 'the 18' by Julian (Alborzian) saved the day". That win and the way it happened was the catalyst to a collective confidence and the team went on to "WIN IT ALL"!!!🪄🏆⚽

We want to wish them luck👑 defending their title and wish the Legends FC in SCV, B2009 team luck🍀. They just came off a FINALIST🥈position in the Legends FC Invitational this past spring (SCV). All of the players (B08-B09) along with the Legends FC in SCV, B2013 team💪, train with their coaches or other coaches on staff* at FC7Soccer® DA™🧦 here in the Santa Clarita Valley. We wish all 3 teams who will be in "The Cup" all weekend in San Diego, a champion's goodwill and godspeed.🏆🏆🏆May they all be blessed-n-bring it home.🕊️

SCV Headquarters: FC7Soccer®, is expanding to Burbank and has also partnered with Santa Clarita Soccer Center to offer it's elite training program indoors.

Burbank is already a month in and the "SCSC project" for indoors will begin this Saturday, July 29th in the early afternoon. Our co-founder Afsheen Alborzian, the FC7Soccer® Development Academy program's Chief Technical Director and President is working out the lessons details and exercise programming for indoor since it will also include strength training. He holds a Bachelors (B.S.) in Kinesiology from CSULA and a MBA.

The idea is already sound and proven, so gauging the player interest and timing for the indoor project is paramount to the program's success, implied Coach Afsheen, especially with the heat and no end insight. In the meantime FC7Soccer® will continue it's regular Saturday morning sessions over at Newhall Park. For more information go to FC7Soccer.com, or you may scan or click-on the QR code in this blog (see above).

We are grateful for your interest in the training we offer here at FC7Soccer®. Please, lets all "spread the word" about our program to help as many kids in our community that love soccer (the beautiful game), learn the correct fundamentals, technique, tactics, physicality, and ball mastery. "It's 'chess-on-the-pitch' when you're playing the beautiful game the way it is meant to be played." - Bahman Alborzian

SCV HQ: This day, June 13th, 2023 was a milestone day for all of us at FC7Soccer®, and especially a proud moment for Coach Afsheen. Its today that we all heard the announcement saying our very own player/coach Nicole Pickering made the g2009 Cal South ODP team. She was a prodigy from Coach Afsheen's first group at FC7Soccer® DA. ⚽ She just finished 8th grade with a 4.0 GPA, and she was with us since the inception of FC7Soccer's youth soccer Development Academy program. Congratulations to Nicole!

She currently plays with the Legends SCV 09G, Elite 64 team as the "10"or ACMF (4-3-3). Last year she played NPL Discovery Elite with LAFC's G2009 here in SCV. She is headed to the Elite 64 National Cup, high school camp, and to team training camp for ODP in the next few weeks.

In the beginning (2015), Coach Afsheen had the blank canvas and trained Nicole (age 5 on). He nurtured her game from the details of ball mastery and the right fundamentals, to many of the techniques passed down to him by his dad and Coach Cherif Zein, when he started as a kid and playing all the way up to D1.

From there she took the reins and has gone on to play with several other masters like coach Afsheen including but not limited to Cherif Zein (and many others all of the way up to her current coach Justin Lundin -COC's Women Soccer Coach) and her game has grown significantly. She puts in the work and she pays attention to detail. She is also very gifted and blessed with size, strength, and athletic prowess. We are all very proud of you Nicole.

Being chosen to play ODP (Cal South) she follows in the distant footsteps of another one of Coach Afsheen's players from the FC Barcelona days with Coach Cherif. That player and now FC7Soccer® Coach and Associate Director is Coach Andrew (Trejo). He played ODP for Cal South also.

<![CDATA[Productivity v Efficiency]]>Fri, 27 Jan 2023 17:56:56 GMThttps://fc7soccer.com/our_editorial/productivity-v-efficiencyPicture
First off lets understand the difference between productivity and efficiency. A simple example is you come home from school and immediately do your homework. Then you eat and change into your soccer practice gear, look for your ball and get it, fill your water bottle, and grab an apple to eat on the drive to practice. Is that productive? ... Yes.

Efficiency would be to already have your ball with your gear and your water bottle ready along with a well thought out healthy snack you prepare for after school, in the morning or the night before so that you can focus on your homework when you get back from school. Then you could eat and relax to digest your snack (since it is already made), while lastly get ready to go to practice. Can you clearly see the difference?

Maybe you can help yourself even more. How can we make the above even more efficient? How about we write out and plan our week. That would be most efficient. Wouldn't you agree? Coach Afsheen has a DIAL planner you can ask for any time. You may even already have a copy if you are attending our classroom sessions.

<![CDATA[The Craziness of COVID]]>Mon, 02 Aug 2021 21:53:52 GMThttps://fc7soccer.com/our_editorial/the-craziness-of-covidPicture
There was a lot and nothing to report during 2020 with the pandemic ending sports for our youth. Here at FC7Soccer® we ran an online program for any players that could mentally handle it. With school online, parents out of work or working at home online, it was NOT healthy mentally for anyone, but especially not for our children. The social environment school brings for the most part is mentally healthy for impressionable children, especially at the puberty age.

The social and controlled competitive environment is also healthy for children, especially teamwork. Humans are a biocarbon, electro-chemical organism that is emotionally driven socially and bases intelligence on problem-solving and reproduction on size/symmetry. For as simple as we can behave, we are a universe of complexities in our own right, that are connected to each other in more ways than that have been discovered at this point. In-person social networking using our senses is a very important part of our complexity and COVID temporarily took that away. Not to mention change causes entropy to increase. Everyone's patience was being tested in 2020 and still is in 2021. For the most part we managing through.

Coming into 2021 we began with RTP (Return To Play) protocols in place and we were unsure of who might still be able to play on our club teams along with feeling our way through how game play might look. Unfortunately a few players were unable to return. However a lot of our players did return, and a lot more new players joined us. We are very grateful and appreciate how things turned out at FC7Soccer®. We had some changes happen like beginning a weekly classroom session for our club players and having to move our DA from Fair Oaks Park to Central Park, but that turned out to be a needed move since we are still growing in size. Classroom has been great for players. It teaches them preparation acumen and the mental side of of planning before you play.

We want to thank all of our parents, players, and coaches for sticking with us through all of this and welcome our new member families and coaches. We know it takes a village to raise a child and we will continue to do our part in our community -right here in the Santa Clarita Valley.
-Thank You

<![CDATA[Our Kobe Bryant Tribute - FC7Soccer®]]>Sun, 02 Feb 2020 19:40:02 GMThttps://fc7soccer.com/our_editorial/our-kobe-bryant-tribute-fc7soccerrPictureKobe with Coach CW (Charles) at Gold's Gym.
It has been exactly one week since the untimely passing of Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gigi, and the other wonderful parents, players, and coaches on the ill-fated helicopter. I was lucky enough to meet Kobe back in 97-98 working out at Gold's Gym in Venice Beach, CA. That Gold's Gym is called "The Mecca". At that point Kobe was only scoring 10 or 12 points a game. I remember speaking with him one of the first times he scored over 30 points and how happy he was. I remember saying, "one day soon, we can look back and laugh at this year because you will be averaging 30 or 40 a game" and he smiled with his famous Kobe smile then said "thanks".

By early 9:06 AM PST on January 26th, 2020 Kobe had finished arguably the most prolific basketball career in NBA history that spanned 20 years with 5 NBA titles, 2 Olympic gold medals, and the MVP award. He had already reinvented himself into an early star in his second career. Kobe, applying the Mamba Mentality to his new career, had won an Oscar in Hollywood and built an amazing sports academy to give back to the community that loved him and his girls (#GirlDad) so deeply. Any way you look at it, he was again soaring to new heights and setting records. Then, as Lebron and Magic pointed out, the last 3-4 years have been the happiest we have seen Kobe over his entire public life. This was a humble and confident happy Kobe we were all witnessing. He was in full control of life, in love with his family, and now shifting into high gear to do it his way once again leading his team to victory, but now that team was his family.

In lock-step with the Hollywood part of his new second career, was the ability to spend more time being a great husband and father, and he made it look easy. That is what truly broke all of our hearts when we learned of his passing. That fateful helicopter ride took away all that promise and peace. It left us a love story so positive yet unfinished (living it vicariously). It was the sports world's version of Camelot and once again, we never get to experience the happy ending. Not taking anything away from all of the other families who lost their loved ones in the accident, but it really didn't seem fair - did it? Even though we all know there really is no such thing as fair in life. Still even more tragic was losing the promise of Gianna becoming "Black Mambacita" as her mother had put so eloquently to remember her on social media. With my own daughter excelling in our soccer academy, and only slightly younger than Gigi. Then considering I grew up in Connecticut and since my own son received his Master's degree from UCONN, I was looking forward to seeing the debut of Gigi Bryant becoming the "Black Mambacita" and wearing her #2 jersey tearing it up just like her Dad did for the purple and gold.

Kobe's work ethic; to out work others, aim for the top, and put them on notice that you are coming is leadership by example. Doing it through emulation, determination, and always challenging yourself to ambitiously be the best version of you -in all you do, at all times, exceeding all expectation, is the blue print we all must follow and teach. To know, love, and cherish your all of your blessings each and every day. It is all at the core of his Mamba Mentality. His goal of teaching kids through sports to prepare them for life is the same goal/culture/philosophy we have at FC7Soccer®. We hope that all academies and institutes for learning, adopt this way of thinking-executing-teaching along with the growth-mindset culture for teaching our future leaders (the babies).

In conclusion, we will miss Kobe Bryant the man, and we will never forget the legend of the Black Mamba and the Mamba Mentality (and will always put it into action). I think I can speak for all of us when I say "thank you Kobe, we will cherish you as a man-father-husband, and are all grateful to you as an entertainer, a mentor, and as a legend to follow" on this planet. Rest-in-Peace, with your Princess Gigi. Know that the this planet loves you, respects you, and appreciates everything you've given. We all promise we will give back to you by making sure your babies and loved ones are safe and loved dearly their entire lives. #PlayElite

We are coming up on our second season of club soccer. This year we have a 2006 team and a 2008 team. We will still go under the NVSC to register our teams in the Coast Soccer League. Games begin the weekend after Labor Day. We expect a ton of parent support this season.

Up until then, we will continue to practice with intensity and scrimmage our teams against others around the same or better skill level to help them commit to re-establishing complete team unity and trust. This will also help the players refine our offense (taking imperfect action) and get used to seeing things defensively that will give them better situational awareness going into the season.

Most of the tournaments that we have considered entering in August, have been very large and we do NOT want to overload the learning and refining process or have them lose confidence in their ability as players and as a team (you are only as good as your weakest link).

Please let us remind you, for players to thrive in the FC7Soccer® Cheetahs™ elite youth club soccer system, they need to learn how to balance their individual excellence with teamwork and that means balancing their individual training at home with the trust and unity we teach at every practice. It also means that the "7 Pillars of Character" must be ubiquitous in their daily lives and they should perpetually use the "Thinking Model" on the pitch. -FC7Soccer® Mgmt.

What a World Cup for our #USWNT in 2019. Some of the older players were amazing and our younger players like Rose Lavalle show us we are in good hands as the baton passes. Congratulations #USWNT!

The men have a tough fight with Mexico tonight for the CONCACAF Gold Cup and Peru has their hands full with Brasil in tonight's CONMEBOL Copa America final played in Brasil. Congratulations to the Peru National team in making it to the finale.

At FC7Soccer® our club teams; "the Cheetahs™" have been on a roll. The U13 team won the Spring League under the FCBarca name, and then went into their first club tournament the 2019 SCV Thunder Summer Classic and won their group and the Bronze Division title to finish 2nd overall after loosing to a Silver Elite team from Lancaster in the final. There was some amazing game play both offensively and defensively, especially in the GK role by our squad.

Next Sunday we will have our 2008-2009 Fc7Soccer®Cheetahs™ club team playing in their first tournament as a club team in 2019. They will play in the same SCV Thunder Summer Classic for their age bracket as the older team did last weekend. Coach Andrew has the team ready and prepared with only 2 practices and a training before the tourney. Please join us all in wishing them the best and by supporting their efforts. Growing up playing American football with full pads and contact from a very young age, I and our entire staff, felt this article would be great information for every parent.

We hope this helps you understand why we do NOT teach headers to young players of the beautiful game. As licensed coaches, parents ourselves, and the instructors responsible for the safety of your children during training, practices, and games, who are trained in concussion protocol by the CDC, we want you to know that we are doing as much as we can to promote safety and it is sports injuries like this one (hard to diagnose) that concerns us.

We are currently in the process of designing a helmet to help create even more safety for the youth game. I certainly wish this makes you more aware of any head trauma that may occur with your babies. Even slips and falls count. <![CDATA[Winning, Losing, and the Joker]]>Sat, 20 Oct 2018 02:15:00 GMThttps://fc7soccer.com/our_editorial/winning-losing-and-the-jokerPictureCoach CW -1980s.
What really drives an athlete? Is it really only about winning and losing? There is certainly a lot that drives us athletes. Here is an interesting perspective.

Losing is like an Aunt, Uncle, or Parent who did a lot of devolving in their life and then passed on. As the child watching, you still learn a lot of what not to do from them. That is one of the best gifts they could have given you without even knowing, but it is up to you to pay attention -especially to the details.

True athletes, primarily at the highest levels may or may not have realized that what they fear/feared the most is losing. That is what drives you to learn the details of your mistakes and the details of mastering them, along with the details of succeeding and learning to become a selfless teammate. That fear can manifest itself in you 2 ways. The first it scares you and give in (follow). The second is it challenges you and you answer the challenge head on.

What this is leading to is that in team sports, you have your teammates and the opponents have theirs. What most do not realize is the game itself is also a player. It's like a Joker. It is your job as individuals to trust each other and work together seamlessly to win over the Joker for your team. The better the game plan and execution, the more likely you are to win the Joker over. However, poor execution, lack of discipline/focus, and not performing at the top of your game -together as a unit will bring your worst nightmare -loss.

Please keep in mind athletics is a business at the competitive level, so when you lose you keep your head. Remember the feeling of loss and drop the emotion. Congratulate your opponent and move on. The feeling of defeat is an empty one, so your emotional mechanism will want to fill that void with rage. Why, well emotion comes from the Latin word that means to "disrupt". Keep your head.

Part of your DNA as an athlete/competitor is knowing winning will never feel as good as losing hurts, particularly in the "big games", the ones that can define you, your team, and your career. No matter like Troy Aikman (Dallas Cowboys, QB, with 3 Superbowl wins) stated; "It is never as bad as you think or as great as you think". So as I was saying prior, it is that fear that either collapses you or drives you. If it drives you, then you are a competitor and performer/producer. It is that drive that makes you get back up, be better prepared, and work on executing at your highest level -again and again, then lets you play altruistically in your role with a quiet confidence.

Ultimately, it is that same drive in you to defeat fear and own the Joker for your team that helps you rise to the occasion, when the game is on the line, and you get the ball. So practice, practice, practice, to refine the details and enrich every opportunity that comes your way. That is the leading cause of successful outcomes. -Cheers, Co-Founder, CW

<![CDATA[Children and Learning Teamwork, to Win, and Success]]>Wed, 01 Aug 2018 19:25:10 GMThttps://fc7soccer.com/our_editorial/august-01st-2018Picture
Teaching children about teamwork, winning, and being successful is a very difficult task for a coach and a parent. What I am seeing, is children don't seem to truly understand sacrifice and do not have self-drive. What we are finding is a lot of entitlement and little humility in young players generally speaking. When we ask parents why, they tell us they want them to experience life before they have to work for the rest of it. Half or more ask the kids, what they want to do instead of allowing them to "want/need/must-have" something bad enough that they ask to do it. Then they put them in a lot of different programs for short periods of time. In my opinion, that is a lot of multi-tasking of things they never really asked for. It is no wonder so many of them are diagnosed with ADHD. So I am asking each of you the same thing I asked myself, what are the costs and gains from doing this?

Up until the mid 20th century, the majority of children had to work in the fields or doing odd jobs with their parents in the cities before and after school. When they got the chance to play something they truly enjoyed it. There was also less distractions and little transparency between the social classes. What kids learned from working back then was sacrifice. What they gained from it was self-drive, work ethic, and character. They also learned the value of their free time (or at least the majority did).

In today's society there are more distractions and more transparency between the social classes. Children also have more free time, and besides some families requiring chores, there isn't much to challenge them. Most will agree, that today's Public Schools have even become less challenging. In general and because of the major paradigm shift, children never get perspective and begin to gain a false sense of being entitled. I see more parents wanting to be their child's friend, rather than parenting them. Is that really a smart choice in the long run? How can you experience something without first having perspective and then valuing it?

Ultimately parenting and coaching are subjective. Both are about choice, but you have to remember we are all a part of the same societies (force multiples) and living on the same rock in space. Making responsible choices as a parent and as a coach is critical. In the animal kingdom, if a bear or tiger parent chose to be their cub's friend instead of teaching them survival skills and strategic predator values, they would lose their instincts and sharpness at the cost of their life. Certainly we are on the intelligence end of the animal kingdom (not just survival), but we still need to make sure our kids stay sharp, learn social skills, have great instincts, appreciate what they have, and value their (and others) time.

Teamwork is about humility, trust, and sacrifice for one and other. Winning is about knowing the difference between want, need, and must have. HINT: When you must have it and you sail to the other team's island to challenge, you get off on the island then burn the boats. Lastly success is about a lot of things and doesn't come without failure, so to have a successful outcome is when you've learned to take positive actions from your failures (hopefully quickly) =Fail-Fast. Thank you.

<![CDATA[What Heat Does to you - Web MD]]>Tue, 17 Jul 2018 18:58:44 GMThttps://fc7soccer.com/our_editorial/what-heat-does-to-you-web-mdIt gets hot in the summer here in the Santa Clarita and San Fernando Valleys of north Los Angeles County, in Southern California. We want you to know what heat can do to the body, so all of us can prepare ourselves and our children before going out into it. <![CDATA[World Cup 2018]]>Wed, 20 Jun 2018 22:23:12 GMThttps://fc7soccer.com/our_editorial/world-cup-2018PictureWho do you think will be victorious?
So far it has been an exciting chain of events in the group stage for the 2018 World Cup, wouldn't you agree? The Russian team already making the Knockout round, the Mexican team defeating favored Germany, Iceland playing Argentina to a draw, Ronaldo and Portugal playing Spain to a draw, and Egypt already out of it. How about Iran possibly making it to the Knockout round, or Harry Kane and England pulling off some heroics. The chaotic nature is making a lot of people's brackets and predictions already worthless.

Some of the key things for young players to watch is the triangle/diamond set up for passing and the one-two's along with the fast transitions the teams are doing in the group stage. On free kicks and cornerkicks you can see the set pieces in motion. You may also see where most of the game is played (sometimes it is different for each half). Know which team had longer possession of the ball, what GKs do to keep the ball out of the goal, and watch how the players typically shoot to the opposite corner of the goal from where they are taking the shot.

It is especially good to watch the teams that are almost always in motion. Follow the players that do not have the ball, watch how the midfielders and forwards work in tandem on attacking, and how the outside defenders (cornerbacks) run down on offense then quickly get back on defense to help out the inside defenders (fullbacks) and the defensive midfielder (stopper) when the change of possession happens. All of this is a learning experience for youth players.

Lastly, FS1 also has a show they are running called "Phenoms" that I would highly recommend showing your player(s).

<![CDATA[FC7Soccer® partners with NVSC® Breakaway™]]>Tue, 08 May 2018 16:11:59 GMThttps://fc7soccer.com/our_editorial/may-08th-2018PictureFC7Soccer® Academy™ Training with Valley United
FC7Soccer® is currently working with the North Valley Soccer Club™ Breakaway division to build our club soccer youth program. Coach Rob Kodama and Coach Afsheen Alborzian go back some 20 years or so.

We are working together every Wednesday at Mason Park in Chatsworth until the end of June and Saturdays in Santa Clarita. Several FC7Soccer® Academy™ and Club™ players have already been asked to try-out for Breakaway™ division teams and some Breakaway™ players will join the FC7Soccer® Cheetahs™ teams this fall in the CSL™ for youth club soccer in Southern California. The CSL™ leagues (CalSouth) begin in September and run into December.

It is imperative our players work on their game at home. We will keep everyone posted about teams, but the more you practice at home as well as make it to all of our practices and training this spring and summer, the more likely you will be chosen to play on one of the teams in the league. There is a large piece that will be based on our next Cleat Level™ assessment slated for May 19th and the following one on July 28th, 2018.

We are planning to enter the teams in several tournaments during June, July, and August this summer. Another resource we are using is the scrimmage boards (locally) to set up scrimmages with other area club teams during the summer months before the season begins. Our players will be plenty prepared for the 2018 season so parents, please do your part in making sure they work on their game at home.

On another note, our recreational soccer teams; FCBarcelona are performing very well in the California Sports Academy league. We are very proud of how our younger players are developing and how some of our older beginner rudiment players are doing in the league. In the past we have finished first or second in every division we coached a team. Prior to being FCBarcelona, we were the Cheetahs in the same league. Coach Charles was instrumental in helping the league go to a professional club uniforms/team-names format instead of the initial format. Coach Afsheen was instrumental in FC7Soccer® being the FCBarcelona team in the CSA league - SCV.

<![CDATA[Spring Sessions and Club Training Underway]]>Wed, 25 Apr 2018 22:04:31 GMThttps://fc7soccer.com/our_editorial/spring-sessions-and-club-training-underwayPicture
FC7Soccer® Academy and Club™ teams are in full swing with spring training at Fair Oaks Ranch Park in SCV. The academy boasts 4 rudiments of matriculation with a total of 13 cleat levels for certification and 10 degrees of mastery per level to become certified. All coaches are U.S. Soccer licensed and Positive Coaching Alliance certified. We do background checks. The club teams are the "Cheetahs".

What you should know. The second rudiment (or Intermediate Elements) are where a player gets invited to tryout for the club teams (Cheetahs). Those cleat levels mirror the U.S. Soccer youth club soccer levels of play for boys and girls. Prior to that, a player must go through 3 cleat levels at the Beginner rudiment and pass the testing assessment for each to matriculate. The testing is based on the European and U.S. Soccer youth training and player development models for developing fine motor skills (technique), gross motor skills (movement with and without the ball on the pitch), agility, conditioning, and mental acuity (situational awareness on the pitch and knowing the laws-positions-formations-set plays).

Our systems gives you the data behind what your player needs to do to become the best player that they can be. Sign your player up now.

<![CDATA[Academy Testing was Fantastic!]]>Sun, 25 Mar 2018 07:44:26 GMThttps://fc7soccer.com/our_editorial/academy-testing-was-fantasticPictureEach level is assessed by a licensed coach. 2018
FC7Soccer® Academy™ wraps it's first weekend of testing for assessment in the new elite player development program. The testing consists of 4 Rudiments, 13 Levels, and 10 Degrees of Mastery within each level. For testing levels we use "Clustering Analysis" with predetermined processes that accurately measure; footwork, ball control, agility, and mental acuity covering both the fine and gross motor skills categories in measuring physical ability related to the techniques of soccer. We built our models around the European and U.S. Soccer® Club models with heavy South American influence mixed in.

The players all responded well. Both the FC7SA™ coaches and the players now truly understand each player's strengths and weaknesses (physically and mentally) so we may accurately chart a strategy together to prepare them for the road into club and to developing holistically as a player in the academy. This is a great benchmark for us to work against for the rest of the 2018 year, and to begin the next 8 weeks of sessions with.

Very few mastered all 10 degrees of their assessed cleat levels to receive certification and move to the next. However, most made at least 5 of the 10 degrees toward mastery. That is promising and each player should be very proud of the way they performed today. We are all very proud of them. - FC7Soccer Management and Staff.
