We hope this helps you understand why we do NOT teach headers to young players of the beautiful game. As licensed coaches, parents ourselves, and the instructors responsible for the safety of your children during training, practices, and games, who are trained in concussion protocol by the CDC, we want you to know that we are doing as much as we can to promote safety and it is sports injuries like this one (hard to diagnose) that concerns us.
We are currently in the process of designing a helmet to help create even more safety for the youth game. I certainly wish this makes you more aware of any head trauma that may occur with your babies. Even slips and falls count.
